You have to read whole article before asking such rhetorical questions (Which i specifically explained in each of my articles). Backtest results are never actual returns, if so, whole world would have been more richer than Warren Buffet or Bill Gates or Elon Musk for that matter. We have to consider lot of things (which I have mentioned clearly point wise in the article before conclusion ), I request you to go through it. One trading system never and will never work for all type of markets and all type of assets (crypto, different cryptos, equity, bonds, commodities, options, futures, forex etc..) and also market is never the same (side ways, up-trend, down-trend), volatility is never the same for same asset . Also, I suggest everyone to run backtest, run dry-run for few months, understand how bot works in different market scenarios and then adjust the bot with values (apart from logic for that specific bot, variables and time frame ) can be changed to get expected returns. and backtest results are never going to give exact returns irrespective of the coder, software developed on. But, people do it because, they get a perspective of if this logic can be worked out in real-time or not, if it is showing higher profits than other backtests, there is higher chance for this strategy to do better in its respective market.
